Garret, a senior pitcher and first baseman for the Rams, picked up the opening day win for Reavis on the mound. He pitched four innings in the 12-2 win against Thornwood, striking out nine batters and allowing only one earned run on three hits. "Garret has worked extremely hard in the off-season on his change-up, and it really seems to be paying off for him early in the season," said head coach Don Erickson.
