Rabakozi competes in All-American game

Tucson, AZ (January 19, 2011) - On January 15-16, senior catcher Rob Rabakozi participated in the Under Armour All-American Baseball Tournament in Arizona.     Just over 260 of the nation’s top high school players were invited to the tournament.

Players representing Panama, Puerto Rico and 37 states comprised this year’s Under Armour Pre-Season All-Americans. On Friday, the players and their families gathered for the opening ceremonies and were treated to a keynote speech by former Major Leaguer, Brian McRae. He spoke to the largest opening ceremony crowd in the event’s history. Every single chair in the hotel was used, with over 1,000 people partaking in the festivities.

All 18 teams took part in a pro-style showcase workout and then played in one showcase style game on Friday.  On Saturday, each team played two more games.   Rabakozi had a solid three-game tournament, going three for eight with two doubles.  "It was a lot of fun playing against such good competition from all over the country." he said.
