Burbank, IL (March 17, 2011) - The Reavis baseball team won their season-opener against the Thornwood T-Birds 12-2 in six innings this afternoon at Czarnecki Field.
Senior pitcher Garret Rhodes picked up the victory on the mound, going four innings, striking out nine, and allowing one earned run on three hits. Brandon Hines threw well in relief, allowing one earned run and striking out three in two innings of work.
Offensively, the Rams were led by Alex Morales (2 for 3; 3B; 3 RBI), Mike Falbo (3 for 4; 2 R; RBI), Brandon Hines (2B; RBI), and David Beltran (2B; RBI).
