Rhodes signs with JJC

Burbank, IL (April 15, 2011) - The Reavis athletic department is pleased to announce that Garret Rhodes has signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Joliet Junior College next fall.  Both Garret&;s father, Joe, and JJC assistant coach Greg Braun were on hand today in the Reavis library to take part in the signing.

"We are extremely pleased to have Garret pitching for us next year," said Braun.  "He has a lot of potential, including a decent fast ball and a really good change-up.  We also love his demeanor on the mound."

Rhodes will be joining 2010 Reavis graduate Dennis Beauregard on the JJC pitching staff.  Currently, the Wolves are 23-10 and are ranked second in the nation in NJCAA.

"My wife and I are proud of Garret," commented Mr. Rhodes.  "His goal was always to play college ball and because of his hard work, he now has a chance to do so."

Garret plans on  studying medicine in college.
