Rams run into buzz-saw in Funkhouser

Oak Forest, IL (April 21, 2011) - Junior Oak Forest pitcher Kyle Funkhouser held the Reavis offense to just four hits in the Bengals&; 4-0 win over the Rams today.  Funkhouser, who is already committed to University of Louisville, relied primarily on a fastball to stifle Ram hitters.  He struck out seven and didn&;t allow a runner past second base.

"Funkhouser was definitely tough today," said Coach Erickson.  "Sometimes in baseball, you just have to give the opponent credit, tip your cap to him, and go get &;em the next day."

Josh Arnold (2-2) pitched well in the loss, allowing three earned runs on eight hits.

The Rams (8-7; 5-2) take on Eisenhower at Czarnecki Field on Friday at 11:00.
