Rams lose lead late in loss to Shepard

Palos Heights, IL (April 29, 2011) - The Rams gave up three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning in their 9-8 loss to Shepard yesterday.

The game was full of lead changes, including a six-run rally by Reavis in the sixth inning to go up 8-5.  "We hit the ball really well yesterday," said Coach Erickson, "but we didn&;t make the pitches we needed to and our defense struggled at times."  The Ram offense collected 12 hits, including five in the sixth inning rally.

"I liked the way we came back, down 5-2 in the sixth, but if we are going to win the conference, we have to do a better job at closing down games," said Erickson.  The Rams&; conference record fell to 7-3, one game behind leader Richards (8-2), who lost to Oak Forest yesterday 4-2.

Reavis is off for the week-end (Enjoy prom, boys!  Be smart and safe!).  On Monday, Robert Regalago Day, the Rams host Oak Lawn.  In memory of former player Roberto Regalado who passed away in 2009, the entire baseball program will be wearing Robert&;s  for the game.
