Bulldogs take game one of series

Burbank, IL (May 16, 2011) - The Rams&; chance of winning a conference title got a little tougher this afternoon when they fell to Richards 5-2.  The loss puts Reavis one-and-a-half games back from the Bulldogs with only two games to play.

The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when Richards scored two runs off starting pitcher Garret Rhodes.  The Rams tied the game in the bottom of the fifth on RBI&;s by Mike Falbo and Rob Rabakozi, but the Bulldogs scored three more in the top of the sixth which proved enough for the win.

"We had a few opportunities to score, but Richards turned three big double plays that ended our rallies," said Coach Erickson.  "They played well when they needed to."

Reavis travels to Oak Lawn for game two of the series with Richards.
