Darien, IL (May 27, 2011) - The Reavis Athletic Department is pleased to announce that senior catcher Rob Rabakozi was voted to the Illinois High School Baseball Coaches Association All-Area team yesterday.
Rob received the second-highest vote total for all catchers in the entire Northern half of the state. Only Simeon's Blake Hickman garnered more points. The other All-Area catchers who finished behind Rabakozi in voting were Jack Picchiotti from Oak Park-River Forest, A.J. Neufeld from Lincoln-Way North, and Cory Kay from St. Viator.
Because of Rob's high point total, he was also nominated for All-State honors. That voting will take place in Peoria next week.
Rob and the rest of the All-Area players will be honored on the field at pre-game of a White Sox game in July.
