South Holland, IL (March 15, 2012) - The Rams opened the 2012 season with a convincing win over Thornwood 15-0 this afternoon. David Beltran (2 for 2; 2 2B; 4 RBI) and Anthony Doory (2 for 2; HR; 3 RBI) led the way offensively. Sophomore Joe O'Hara also collected two hits, including the first of his varsity career.
Senior Josh Arnold picked up the victory on the mound, going three innings and allowing no runs on one hit and three strikeouts. Juniors Mike Lally and Dan Meskill each pitched a scoreless inning in relief.
The Rams (1-0) have their home opener at Czarnecki Field tomorrow (Friday, March 16) against Morton High School at 4:30 pm.
