Baseball team preparing for Spring trip

Burbank, IL (April 5, 2012) - As Spring Break begins for the Reavis student body on Friday, April 6 , the varsity baseball squad is gearing up for its trip to Memphis, TN.  The team leaves on Wednesday morning, April 10, and make a stop in Cincinnati to attend a baseball game between the Reds and the St. Louis Cardinals at The Great American Ballpark.

After the game, they will travel to Nashville where they will spend the night.  While in Nashville, the team plans to see a Vanderbilt University baseball game.

From Thursday through Saturday, they will be in Memphis where they will be participating in a Mid-West baseball tournament.  The Rams have double-headers scheduled for Thursday and Friday against Bartlett High School and Munford High School, respectively.  Saturday, Reavis will take on Dyer County High School at 11:00 a.m. before heading back to Burbank.

"Our kids and coaches are really looking forward to this trip," said Coach Erickson.  "We&;ll be seeing and playing a lot of baseball in a short period of time, so it&;s got to help us get better as a team.  Also, I think it will be a fun experience for them and I hope it will bring the players closer together."
