Bats wake up against Cardinals

Burbank, IL (April 16, 2012) - The Rams (6-12; 4-2) pounded out 15 hits in their 23-2 win against Eisenhower on Monday at Czarnecki Field.  The hit total is the most for the Reavis offense this season.

Four Rams collected multiple hits, including Matt Javorski (3 for 4; 2 2B; 4 RBI), Jake Stano (3 for 3; 2B; 2 RBI), Mike Lally (2 for 5; 2B; 2 RBI), and Zack Mackowiak (2 for 4; 2 2B; 4 RBI).  Sophomore Joe O&;Hara added four RBI&;s, including a bases-clearing double in the 10-run third inning.

The offensive break-out was sorely needed for Reavis.  On the recent Memphis trip, the team was only able to muster a total of four runs over three games.  "We were definitely in an offense slump during the past week or two," said Coach Erickson.  "Hopefully, this game is the start of us heating up a bit."

Anthony Doory (2-4) picked up the win on the mound, going three innings and giving up no earned runs on one hit and five strike-outs.  Mike Lally pitched the final two innings for the Rams.
