Romero's No Hitter Propels Rams past Lakeview

Burbank, IL (March 28, 2013) - Jose Romero certainly had good stuff in the Rams' 9-0 victory over Lakeview Thursday afternoon at Czarnecki Field.

The junior left-hander threw the first no-hitter for Reavis since 2009 (Tom Falbo) and struck out 15 batters, including the last six of the game.  "Jose had one of the best outings I've seen from a Rams pitcher in a long time," said Coach Erickson.  "He had a small bump in the road in the third inning when he walked two hitters, but he settled down and seemed to get stronger as the game went on."

Offensively, the Rams (3-1) were paced by RBI doubles from Matt Barajas and Romero in the first inning.  Dan Meskill also provided a spark with his second consecutive multi-hit game.  Reavis travels to Hinsdale South today for a noon game.
