Burbank, IL (April 24, 2013) - Junior Jordan Rhodes made the most out of his opportunity to pitch yesterday as he threw a no-hitter against Hillcrest at Czarnecki Field. In only his second start of the season, Rhodes pitched extremely well, striking out 10 Hawk battters and only allowing two walks in the 15-0 five-inning victory for the Rams (11-5; 5-2).
"Jordan continues to improve with his mechanics and control," said Coach Erickson. "I was very pleased with his outing."
This is the second no-hitter for Reavis pitchers this season. Earlier in the year, Jose Romero blanked Lakeview 9-0.
The Rams play at Bremen Thursday.
