Burbank, IL (May 6, 2013) - The Rams (14-9; 8-4) beat Argo 12-2 at Czarnecki Field Monday behind the pitching of Jose Romero and the hitting of John Deir.
Romero went the distance on the mound, allowing no earned runs on two hits and striking out nine Argonaut hitters. The junior also went three for four with a triple and two RBI. Deir, who has been injured the past two weeks with a hamstring pull, provided some much needed offense for the Rams in his return, going three for four with two RBI and a stolen base. "It was great getting John back in the line-up," said Coach Erickson. "He has had a great year and continues to supply a spark for us."
Reavis plays Argo again today in Summit.
