Oak Forest, IL (January 13, 2012) -
Reavis Rams (5-12, 1-6) traveled to Oak Forest for a Friday night SSC crossover game. The Rams started out slow, only scoring 3 in the first quarter, but after that things changed. Reavis started inching back point by point, but fell short, 39-52.
Leading all scorers was Stephanie Verduzco with 18 points/6 rebounds. Teammates Nat Skolarus (9 pts./2 steals), Chanel Koepke (5 pts.), Yasmine Ballout (4 pts./2 steals/ 2 assists), and Hannah Howard (3 pts.) all added to the scoring for the Rams.
Sophs (6-11; 2-5) also played well and battled back and forth against the Bengals, but in the end lost 24-32. Paulina Gal (9 pts.) and Jakki Padilla (8 pts.) led the Rams.
Frosh (12-2; 6-1) suffered their first SSC conference loss, 17-25. Katelyn LoRusso had 8 points for the Rams.
