Varsity Rams (6-20; 2-11) played in the St. Ignatius Regional against Fenwick, 38-85. Reavis started out slow as the Friars jumped to a 14-2 lead, but they did not give up. One possession at a time the Rams got back in cutting it to within 4, but Fenwick's hot 3-point shooting kept the win out of reach. Donna Mierwa led the Rams with 11 points/2 steals/4 rebounds, while Stephanie Verduzco added 10 points/7 rebounds, Yasmine Ballout 8 points/3 steals, Nat Skolarus added 5 points, and Chanel Koepke 4 points.
"We played tough and left it all out on the floor, but just ran out of gas. Fenwick is an excellent 3-point shooting team and they were definitely on tonight," said Head Coach Maggie Miskowicz.
Congratulations and good luck to senior, Yasmine Ballout, as she advanced to the Queen of the Hill Regional Final. She will shoot in the 3-point competition on Thursday at St. Ignatius.
The Rams bid farewell to five fabulous seniors: Krys Antol, Yasmine Ballout, Cai Gallagher, Hannah Howard, and Nat Skolarus. Each has been in the program for four years and will be missed for their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes.
