The Runnin' Rams fair well at rainy TF South Invite

Lansing, IL  (September 1, 2012).  The Runnin&; Rams competed at the TF South Invite Saturday.  Senior Nicole Maier finished the 3.0 in 20:09 giving her a 13th place overall finish out of 93 Varsity girls.  "Nicole is having a great start to her senior year--she is believing in her ability and taking charge of her starts," comments Coach Laurie Schoenfeld.  Michele Lewellen, Stephanie Majewski, Sabina Bukowska, and Caroline Cyrwus were the scorers for the Varsity, while Maggie Wojtowicz and Angelina Duda were the pushers.  The Varsity girls placed 9th out of 23 teams, beating all the teams in the SSC of Argo, TFS, Evergreen Park, and Bremen  In the frosh soph race, Katie Zimmerman was the top runner, with a 40th place finish out of 103 runners.  Laura Monsreal, Krystal Vergara, Holly Javorski, and Gabby Masquera were the scorers and Tina Van and Leann Kanka were the pushers for the race.  The frosh soph team placed 8th out of 23 teams.  In the open race, First season runner Jocelyn Acosta was the top Ram finisher with an amazing 16th place overall finish out of 132 runners, while Jenn Chavez finished an impressive 27th place, and a time that already has beaten any of her last year&;s times.
