Summit, IL (September 21, 2013). The girls had a great team effort and packed well as they finished 6th out of 25 teams in the Varsity race. Senior Michele Lewellen finished 6th overall out of 117 runners. Alejandra Hernandez, Stephanie Majewski, Laura Monsreal, and Sabina Bukowska were the scoring Rams, while Gabby Plewa and Christine Trovato rounded out the Running Rams. The Frosh/Soph team, who was led by Jennah Carlson with a 35th place finish out of 119 runners, finished 7th out of 25 teams. The other frosh/soph runners for the Rams were Jenny Vasquez, Esmeralda Flores, Angelica Ortiz, Ariana Lozano, and Yarit Alcantara. The top Ram finisher in the open race was Krystal Vergara, who finished 40th overall out of 283 runners. "The girls are learning how to PACK in races!" commented Coach Laurie Schoenfeld. She continues "Packing is the best strategy in cross country races."
