SSC Red Conference meet SUCCESSFUL all around

October 17 2015.  (Burbank, IL)  What an amazing day the Runnin' Rams had on Saturday as we hosted the SSC Red Division Conference meet.  The team was voted Most Sportsmanship for the sixth time in a row.  The first race was the Frosh Soph race, and they started the day off right, as they finished FIRST overall, beating the 2nd place team by only 3 points.  Sophomore Karolina Styrczula had a strong 2nd place finish, while Brianna Rodriguez and Carmen Villarreal both also finished in the top 10 with a 5th place and a 9th place finish respectively.  Tifany Ramirez, Mariela Martinez, Ashley Alvarado, and Tera Temko all contributed big time to such a great team finish.  In the Varsity race, junior Esmeralda Flores and junior Christine Trovato both earned All-Conference honors as they finished 3rd place and 5th place respectively.  What an amazing accomplishment.  The two juniors helped the team finished 5th overall, and had Lupe Diaz, Jennah Carlson, Nat Moreno, Jenny Vasquez, and Cassie Mendez all contribute.  In the open race, the best Ram finisher was freshman Diann Moon with a 10th place overall individual finish.  The support we got from parents, alumni, and staff all contributed to a great Ram day.  Good luck next Saturday as the girls will compete at the IHSA Regional race at Midlothian Meadows.
