Burbank, IL - The varsity girls' tennis team is 2-0 in conference duel match play with a big 4-1 win over Shepard yesterday. This 4-1 win was led once again by the #2 doubles team of Jenny LoRusso and Sam Mangiapane rolling (6-1, 6-2). Liz Weiler and Joanna Sochacka got their act together in the second set at #3 doubles winning (6-3, 6-1). Liz Zborek clinched the win with her (7-5, 6-4) victory at #2 singles. The #1 doubles team of Kayla Mangiapane and Nicole Kowalczyk had a huge win (7-5, 6-4) over another state qualifying team.
