Frankfort, IL (September 4, 2012) - The Rams bounced back from their 3-1 loss to Andrew in the Windy City Classic championship with a 4-1 victory against Lincoln Way North last night in the opening round of the Lincoln Way Invite.
Senior Kamil Szczesniak proved tonight why he was voted Windy City MVP. The forward scored three goals, including two headers, to pace the Rams early. "Today was a big win," said Szczesniak, "we definitely got our confidence back and hopefully we can continue our good play in the conference opener tomorrow." The Rams (5-1) play TF United at Reavis Wednesday.
Jose Estrada added a goal, his fourth of the season, in the first half. Danny Vallejo, Roger Valdez, and Jorge Martinez each contributed with assists.
