Basketball Girls

Colleen Glynn

~~Coach Glynn is a teacher in the Special Education department and has spent the past 10 years coaching the jumps and hurdles on the men’s and women’s track and field teams. This is her first year with the girls basketball team and she is excited to work with this amazing group of women and coaches.

Oak Forest Defeated

Burbank, IL (December 4, 2014) - The girls varsity basketball team defeated Oak Forest last night 64- 59 in their first conference game. It was a tight battle all night, but the ladies held in there to move their record to 7-1. Leading scorers were Natalie Dudek with 21, Katelyn LoRusso with 20, and Ashley Galason with 12 points. It was a great team effort! Thanks to the amazing fans who showed up and
cheered them on! The girls go on the road next week at Hillcrest on Tuesday night. Congrats ladies!

Successful Tourney

~Darien, IL (November 30, 2014) -The girls varsity basketball team finished out the Hinsdale South Tipoff Tournament with a huge win over Hinsdale South 74-55.
Natalie Dudek had 31 points and 13 rebounds and Katelyn LoRusso had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Congrats to both Natalie and Katelyn, who were voted to the all tournament team! Special thanks to Mr. Gadomski and Joe Mack for their team support! The girls basketball team will be battling Manteno at home on Tuesday and conference play begins with Oak Forest at home on Thursday. Hope to see you there! Go Rams!

BIG WIN!! Reavis defeats Sandburg 64-54

The Reavis Rams began the Hinsdale South TipOff tournament with a hard earned  64-54 win over the Sandburg Eagles. The team was led by Natalie Dudek with 18 points and 9
rebounds, Ashley Galason with 16 points, and Katelyn LoRusso with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Ewelina Kmin had 7 points and 5 steals, Kelly LoRusso had 5 pts and 7 rebounds, and Alyssa Baffin
hit 2 clutch 3 point shots to help move the Rams to a 20 start on the season. The team will take on the Stagg Chargers at the tournament on Saturday.

Reavis Defeats Kennedy to Go 1-0

Burbank, IL (November 17, 2014)- The RAMS started their season 1-0 by defeatign Kennedy High SChool. The team was effective , moving the ball, shooting, and playing defense. Kelly LoRusso led the RAMS with 18pts., Katelyn Lorusso with 17, Natalie Dudek with 16. The Defensive effort was led by Ewelina, Ashley and the MOB. The RAMS will travel to Hinsdale to play in their Winter Tournament.

Summer Basketball

Congrats to the Women's Basketball program who won two games at the Depaul Shootout in Lincoln park on Saturday! The Rams defeated, Alter Academy (runner up last year in state of Ohio) from Ohio in the first game and then continued their success by defeating Rockford East in game two.

Adam Zawada

~~Coach Zawada has been the Sophomore Coach since the 2013 season. Before coaching at Reavis, Adam coached basketball at TF North High School. Adam was hired by Reavis at the start of the 2012-2013 school year and teaches in the History Department. Coach Zawada is a 2002 graduate of Reavis and earned his BA in Social Science and his MA in Learning Behavior Specialist from St. Xavier University. In addition to being the basketball coach, he coaches football and softball.
Adam is married to Ivanka (Dabros, Class of 2004) and has a daughter, Milania (2013).
