Burbank, IL (January 11, 2014) - Saturday the Rams hosted the SSC Red Conference Tournament at El Mar Bowl. The Varsity finished 5th and the frosh/soph 3rd. Two bowlers earned All-Conference Honors - Jasson Barrios for the Varsity (9th overall - 201 AVG over 6 games) and Tony Shanklin for the frosh/soph (4th overall - 194 AVG over 6 games). Other notable finishes for the Varsity was Matt Wolfe (15th overall with a 192 AVG).
Burbank, IL (January 9, 2014) - The Varsity Rams (8-5, 8-4 conf) closed out the conference regular season with a 1970-1767 win over Oak Forest. Matt Sammon earned high game (244) and high series (458) for the Rams. Orlando Sanmiguel and Matt Wolfe were not too far behind with 424 and 419 series respectively. Highlight games include Matt Wolfe 226, Orlando Sanmiguel 223 & 201, Matt Sammon 214, and Tyler Matlock 203. The Rams will host the SSC Red conference tournament this Saturday at El Mar Bowl. Burbank, IL (December 17, 2013) - The Varsity Rams (7-5, 7-4) earned a big conference win against Richards at El Mar. The Rams won 1843-1771 and Orlando Sanmiguel was the high bowler with a 423 series and a 234 game. Matt Sammon added a 212 and Jasson Barrios continued his consistent run with a 192 and a 191.
The fr/soph Rams were defeated by Richards 1918-1630. Bobby Clancy was high bowler with a 374 series and a 196 game. Tony Shanklin added a 184 and a 173.
Lyons, IL (December 16, 2013) - The Varsity Rams (6-5, 6-4) defeated Argo, 1892-1573, at Forest Lanes. Orlando Sanmiguel bowled high game (252) and high series 428. Jasson Barrios added a 208 and a 400 series. Matt Wolfe bowled consistently well with a 194 and a 198. Matt Gallagher did a great job in his season debut with a 190 game.
The Frosh/soph also defeated Argo, 1624-1018. Tony Shanklin bowled high game with a 240 and Bobby Clancy high series with a 383. Highlight games include Bobby Clancy (199, 184) and Dariusz Sularz 179.
Tinley Park, IL (December 12, 2013) - The Varsity Rams (5-5, 5-4) lost 2008-1597 to TInley Park at Centennial Lanes. The Rams picked a bad day to have a bad day as Tinley was red hot at their home house. Orlando Sanmiguel bowled high game (193) and high series (367) for the Rams.
Calumet City, IL (December 10, 2013) - The Varsity Rams (5-4, 5-3) defeated TF North 1773-1587. Jasson Barrios and Orlando Sanmiguel lead the way with a 427 and a 402 series respectively. Highlight games were Orlando Sanmiguel 233 and Jasson Barrios 215, 212.
Vernon Hills, IL (December 7, 2013) - The Rams competed in a very tough Vernon Hills Invite over the weekend. The Rams were ranked as high as 3 out of 24, but eventually fell to 15th after a tough finish to the six game series. Matt Sammon was awarded a medal for finishing with the forth highest game (258). Matt also added a 246. Other notable games included Jasson Barrios 209, Orlando Sanmiguel 202, and Tyler Matlock 200.
Burbank, IL (Decemeber 5, 2013) - The Varsity Rams (4-4, 4-3) lost a close match, 1914-1889, to TF South. After losing the first game by six pins, the Rams fought back to lead the second game until a tough luck 10th frame. The Rams bowled well, but spare conversions ultimately cost them the game. Jasson Barrios led the way for the Rams with a 400 series and a 204 game. Matt Sammon added 203 in game two. The Rams will look to keep getting better this Saturday at the Vernon Hills Invite.
Burbank, IL (December 3, 2013) - The Varsity Rams (4-3, 4-2) ended their three game winning streak in a hard fought 2082-1928 loss to Oak Lawn. In a series that saw good bowling on both sides, the determining factor proved to be spare conversion. The Rams missed 6 out of 8 ten pins, which amounts to a minimum of 60 pins. The bright side is the Rams seem to be getting better each match and continue to score well. Jasson Barrios bowled high game (213) and earned high series for the Rams with a 411. Orlando Sanmiguel was not far behind with a 400 series and 203 game.
Homewood, IL (November 26, 2013) - The Varsity Rams improved to 4-1 in conference and 4-2 overall with a 1923-1837 win over Hillcrest on Tuesday. This win marked the Rams best series of the season. All five starters bowled consistently well with Matt Sammon earning high series (405) by a slim margin over Joe Jedlowski (401 series) and Orlando Sanmiguel (398). Notable games include - Joe Jedlowski (219), Matt Sammon (216), and Orlando Sanmiguel (200).
