Rams open tourney with win; start season in top 10

Burbank, IL (August 28, 2013) - The Reavis soccer team opened up the 2013 season last night with a convincing 2-0 victory over University High in the opening round of the Windy City Classic Tournament.

Senior captain Jose Estrada opened up the scoring with a goal in the first half to give the Rams a 1-0 lead.  Early in the second half, Marcin Gawlak added a goal off a fed from Damian Opiola.  Reavis hosts Little Village at 6:30 pm on Thursday in second round play.

Rams capture regional title

Burbank, IL (October 20, 2012) - Undermanned for over half of the contest, the Reavis soccer team performed the unthinkable and defeated top-ranked Marist 1-0 in over-time to capture its first regional championship since 2005.  The victory, the Rams&; 18th of the season, broke a record for the most in school history.
 

Freshman soccer team wins tourney

Burbank, IL (September 17, 2012) - Congratulations to the freshman Rams soccer team for winning the sixth annual Reavis Freshman Tournament this past week-end. The eight-team invitational included squads from the South suburban area.  The Rams beat Bremen 5-0 in the championship. They won the 1st round 8-0 vs. LWN on Wednesday and won the semis against Shepard 4-0 Saturday morning.  

Rams Earn Spot in Title Game

Burbank, IL (August 28, 2012) - In front of a packed house at Hanke Stadium, the Reavis soccer team punched its ticket to the championship game of the Windy City Classic tournament by defeating St. Joseph High School 3-0 tonight.  "This was a great win for us," said Coach Morack, "and the crowd really got us going in the right direction early in the contest."  The crowd Morack referred to - a frenzied group of students that included the varsity football team armed with horns and thunder sticks - created a World Cup atmosphere at the game.

Rychtarczyk Named All-Regional

Burbank, IL (November 12, 2010) - Even after the Fall sports season has ended for Reavis teams, senior soccer player Pawel Rychtarczyk continues to garner accolades and awards.  Most recently, he was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Regional Team.  According to NSCAA Midwest All-American Chairman Norm Hillner, only 12 Illinois players made this elite squad.

"This award is a testament to a great career here at Reavis," said head coach Bob Morack.  "Pawel has earned everything he has received based on hard work and dedication."
