Doubles Team Wins First Round at State!

Mount Prospect, IL (October 21, 2010) - The doubles team of Kayla Mangiapane and Nicole Kowalczyk upset the team from Aurora West 6-3, 1-6, 7-5 earlier today to advance to the second round of the IHSA tennis state tournament at Prospect High School.

"No one gave them a chance to win this match," said head coach Sue Sprovieri, "but Kayla and Nicole played the game of their lives and came out winners!" 

Tennis Firing on All Cylinders

   Reavis is firing on all cylinders.  The Rams are 12-1 in duals and 4-0 in the South Suburban Red.  
   After going 9-9 last season, finishing fifth at sectionals and sending no qualifiers tothe state tournament, the Rams want more out of this campaign. 
   "If we get some wins at singles, we have a chance at sectionals," Reavis coach Sue Sprovieri said.  "I work to get kids to state, so we can drag the entire team with for the experience."

Rams beat Queen of Peace 4-1

Burbank, IL (September 20) - The Varsity Girls Tennis Team moved to 10-1 overall with a 4-1 win over Queen of Peace yesterday.  Phan Le at singles led the way with a 6-1, 6-0 win.   Also making short work of their opponents were Joanna Sochacka And Liz Weiler at doubles (6-1, 6-0).  Kayla Mangiapane and Nicole Kowalczyk at

Tennis Team Beats Astros

Burbank, IL - The varsity girls&; tennis team is 2-0 in conference duel match play with a big 4-1 win over Shepard yesterday.  This 4-1 win was led once again by the doubles team of Jenny LoRusso and Sam Mangiapane rolling (6-1, 6-2).  Liz Weiler and Joanna Sochacka got their act together in the second set at doubles winning (6-3, 6-1).  Liz Zborek
