Burbank, IL (Janurary 24, 2011) - Congratulations to the varsity wrestling team for capturing their second consecutive SSC Red Dual Meet Championship on Thursday, January 20.
Reavis (11-2; 16-7) needed to defeat Oak Forest to win at least a share of the conference title, but pulling out the victory looked doubtful when the Rams trailed the Bengals by six points with only two matches remaining.
Senior Rob Paterak and junior Edwardo Marquez came up big for the Rams, however, by both pinning their opponents and essentially giving the Rams the win and the conference crown.
The Rams also celebrated Senior Night and honored the following wrestlers for their dedication to the program: Brian Taraszka, Kevin Trujillo, Dylan Dybalski, Ryan Klimczak, Max Pickering, Rob Paterak, David Valdez, and Javi Chinchilla.
