Rams go 2-0

The varsity wrestling team kicked off the 2nd half of their season with two quality wins over Homewood Floss moor and Lincoln Way North on Saturday Jan. 4th, 2014.  Both wins took a total team effort, which is starting to become the norm for the Rams.  Tino Abarca got things rolling with a quality win over Alec Campos of H.F.  From there Kevin McDonald dominated his opponent at 113 and Moe Sbitan emerged victorious once again, bumping up a weight class.  But the true highlight was turned in by HWT. Jakub Kacki's 2nd period fall to win the dual.  This is the second time in as many days that a sophomore has clinched a dual in the final match.  The Rams were able to get off to a hot start against a tough L.W.N. team with wins from Kevin McDonald (113), Moe Sbitan (126), Jesus Vasquez (132), Kyle Galason (138), Sam Almousa (145), and Teddy Piwnicki (182).  The Rams are currently 12-3 (5-0).  The Rams are begging to enter their toughest part of their season and eagerly await the challenge!
