Erik Scheiner
Head Coach

Coach Scheiner has been the Rams head coach since the boys bowling program was started in 2007.  Under Coach Scheiner the Rams have three regional championships, one sectional championship, and four State qualifying teams.  Mr. Scheiner is also a math teacher at Reavis.  Mr. Scheiner has two children Brett (10) and Brynn (7).

John Larocca
Assistant Coach

Coach Larocca is in his sixth year as the Frosh/Soph Coach.  Mr. Larocca is also a Math teacher at Reavis.

Dave Supanich
Assistant Coach

Coach Supanich is the Varsity assistant coach.  He is the uncle of former Reavis star bowlers, Matt and Tom Kuba.  Coach Supanich is an avid bowler who runs his family owned business, Lawn Lanes, in Chicago.

#27 Don Erickson
Head Coach

Coach Erickson is entering his 25th full season as the skipper of the Rams. In his tenure, the Reavis baseball program has garnered 450 wins, six conference titles and two regional crowns. Erickson, who was inducted into the IHSBCA Hall of Fame in 2016, is a three-time winner of the Reavis Coach of the Year Award (1997, 1998, 2008) and a two-time winner of the SICA Coach of the Year Award (2002 & 2005). After graduating from Glenbard North High School in 1987, Erickson attended Upper Iowa University where he received his BA in 1991 and was a three-year letter winner in baseball for the Peacocks.  He holds Masters degrees from National Louis University and University of St. Francis and is currently the Director of Information and Educational Technology at Reavis.

Don is married to Carrie (Preimesberger, Class of 1991) and has a daughter, Emma (14), and a son, Samuel (12).

#10 Dick Canan
Assistant Coach

Canan, who began coaching the varsity Rams in 1997, has been part of the last six conference championships. A Burbank native, Canan played Burbank National Little League before starring for Coach Czarnecki's Rams in the early 1980's. In 1982, he was named all-conference shortstop for Reavis, and then played stints with Southeast Missouri State and Moraine Valley Community College before earning a baseball scholarship with the University of Illinois. After a steller career with the Illini, Canan was drafted in the seven round by the Chicago Cubs and played seven seasons in the Cubs' minor league system. Canan is a hitting instructor at Diamond Edge Academy in Willowbrook and Line Drive Academy in Bedford Park. 

Jeff Kreil
Assistant Coach

Coach Jeff Kreil is our throws specialist.

 Coach Kreil is entering his 12th season as the boys and girls throws coach for the Rams.  He has coached many All-Conference athletes, Sectional finalists/State Qualifiers, SSC Red record holders, and 2 All-State athletes as our throws coach.  His debut coaching state-bound athletes came in 2010, as he coached Alex Boiwka in the discus (15th).  Since then, he has coached many State Qualifiers.  2011: Nick Solis in discus (28th) and shot put (29th); 2012: Stephanie Verduzco in discus (16th) and the shot put (21st); 2013: Paulina Gal is discus (20th), Mackenzie Mellenthin in discus (22nd), and Luis Garcia in discus (23rd); 2014:  Paulina Gal in shot put (6th – ALL STATE) and discus (24th) & Mackenzie Mellenthin in discus (28th), 2015: Alex Kamienska in shot put (33rd), 2016: Auset Kheru in discus (20th) and shot put (22nd), 2017: Auset Kheru in discus (7th – ALL STATE), and 2018: Aneta Gal in the shot put (25th).

Coach Kreil graduated from Reavis High School in 2001 and attended Illinois State University (BS degree in Second Health Sciences).  He received his Admin MA degree from ONU and his C&I MA degree from Concordia Univ.  His proficiencies include strength training, wellness, and lifetime fitness.  He married his wife Christina in '07, and was blessed with their daughter Katie in April '12 and son Max in October '14.

 
 

Colleen Glynn
Assistant Coach

A 4 year letter winner for  Mt. Assisi Academy in Lemont, IL, Coach Glynn competed in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4 x 100m Relay, and the Sprint Medley Relay.  She began coaching Long and Triple jump at Sycamore High School while still in school at NIU and her top jumper earned 6th place in state for Triple Jump.

Coach Glynn has spent the past 9 seasons working with the mens and womens long, triple, and high jumpers as well as the hurdlers, many of whom have placed in conference and a few who have placed at sectionals.

She is really looking forward to her 10th season of jumpers. Go RAMS! She also enjoys jumping rope, kick boxing, and is always prepared for bad weather.

Ernie Kuehl
Head Coach

This is Coach Kuehl's 1st year as boy's head coach and 8th year coaching overall. 

 

#22 Bob Morack
Assistant Coach

After serving ten seasons as the head sophomore coach, Morack will be in his seventh year with the Varsity.  Morack recently stepped down from his position as head coach of the boys soccer team when he was promoted to athletic director.  During his successful run in soccer, Bob won the Reavis Coach of the Year Award five times (2006, 2009, 2012, 2016, and 2017). Besides being a two-year starting varsity catcher at Reavis (1995-96), Morack also played on the District 15 Big League team that won the National Championship and finished second in the world to Taiwan in 1996. After high school, Morack played collegiate baseball at Moraine Valley Community College and Chicago State University. He holds a Masters degree from St. Xavier University.

Bob has three daughters, Madelyn, Evelyn, and Jaclyn.

#27 Erik Scheiner

Scheiner, who works with many of the pitchers at Reavis, will enter his seventh season as head sophomore coach. Erik joined the Ram staff in 2004 and continues to pitch in several men's leagues during the summer and fall months. A graduate of Stagg High School, Erik starred for the Chargers varsity squad in 1997 and 1998, before continuing his baseball career at Chicago State University. Besides his BA from CSU, Scheiner has MA degrees from Governor's State University and University of St. Francis. Erik, a math teacher at Reavis, is also the head boys' bowling coach and a winner of the Reavis Coach of the Year (2015).

Erik is married to Ashley (Wegele) and has a son, Brett, and a daughter, Brynn.

Head Coach

 Coach Manning is a life-long wrestler, who competed for Stagg High school, where he placed 2nd at the State Tournament in 2000 & 2002. He also wrestled for 2 years at Eastern Illinois University while completing his undergrad.  This is Coach Manning's 15th year at Reavis and his 11th year as the Head Wrestling Coach.

Bill Breheny
Assistant Coach

Coach Breheny has been involved with wrestling since 1992.  He started his wrestling career by wrestling for the Burbank Rams thru middle school where, he then continued to wrestle for Reavis High School.  Coach Breheny placed 5th in the state tournament in 2002.
 
He continued to wrestle post high school at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville, where he completed his undergraduate degree in Special Education.
 
This is Coach Breheny's 14th year coaching for Reavis High School at the JV level.
 

Phil Basile
Head Coach

Coach Basile has been teaching and coaching at Reavis for the last 8 years working with both the boys and girls programs.  He attended Providence Catholic High School where he played soccer and wrestled.  Afterwards, Coach Basile attended Saint Xavier University where he played on the men’s soccer team.  While at SXU he earned his BA in Studio Art and then went on to earn his Master’s in Secondary Education.  Outside of teaching and coaching he plays in a men’s soccer league, and is an avid runner.  His favorite memories as a player are winning super-sectionals at home his senior of high school to advance to state, and starting his first game as a freshman at Saint Xavier University versus Wheaton College.  As a coach, his  favorite memory is winning the SSC Championship in 2011 for the first time in school history!

Jim Ward
Assistant Coach

Coach Ward has been around Reavis soccer since 1997 and has coached Boys Freshmen Sophomore and Varsity teams. He headed the girls program from 1998-2008. Jim was awarded Reavis Coach of the Year in 2002 and IHSSCA Section 13 Assistant Coach of the Year in 2008.  Jim earned his Bachelor’s of Science at Illinois State University holds Master degrees from Chicago State University, Lewis University and Olivet Nazarene University.  He works as a Guidance Counselor and Summer School Principal at Reavis High School. Favorite Reavis Soccer Moment:  There are many to choose from. Ward has great rapport with players, parents, and staff and has been a tremendous asset to both the girls and boys soccer programs at Reavis! 
My favorite moments are when alumni come back and tell me they had fun and enjoyed being part of the Reavis soccer program.  Outside of Reavis Coach Ward stays busy volunteering at St Linus, coaching and watching his children play sports. Jim is married to Kathy and has 5 wonderful children Tessy, Missy, Maggie, Lizzie and Jimmy are always on the move to enjoy the next scheduled activity. 

Jeff Smith
Assistant Coach

"Smitty" has been the Varsity Assistant since the 2009 season, helping guide the Rams to one conference title (2010) and two regional championships (2009 & 2010). Jeff is a 1992 graduate of Reavis, playing football, basketball and baseball all four years. After his time as a student at Reavis, he earned his BS in Kinesiology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and his MS in Physical Education. He currently teaches PE and Drivers Education, is an assisstant varsity football coach and the Head Coach of the boys basketball program. He also coached Reavis Baseball from 1998 - 2006 and has coached in the Track program as well.
Jeff is married to Amy (Countryman, Class of 1993) and has one son, Matthew, and one daughter, Corrin.

Adam Zawada
Assistant Coach

Coach Zawada has been the Freshman Coach since the 2013 season. Before coaching at Reavis, Adam coached softball at TF North High School. Adam was hired by Reavis at the start of the 2012-2013 school year and teaches in the History Department. Coach Zawada is a 2002 graduate of Reavis and earned his BA in Social Science and his MA in Learning Behavior Specialist from St. Xavier University. In addition to being the Sofball Assistant Coach, he also is a Football and Girls Basketball assistant as well.
Adam is married to Ivanka (Dabros, Class of 2004) and has a daughter, Milania (2013).

Laurie Schoenfeld
Head Coach

          Coach Laurie Schoenfeld is entering her 18th year as head coach of the girls' track program at Reavis High School, and specializes in distance running.  She has coached numerous All-Conference distance runners throughout the 24 years coaching, a few frosh/soph team championships, many state qualifiers , team Sportsmanship award many times, and had the privilege of coaching Sam Laskowski, at the state meet in the 800m.  Coach Schoenfeld is very proud of her committment  to encourage her athletes to participate in track and field or cross country in college. 
          Coach Schoenfeld graduated from Joliet West High School, where she qualified for the IHSA state meet in the 800m three times, and was finally an All-State runner in the 800m her senior.  She also ran on state qualifying cross country teams.  She attended Lewis University, where she competed in track and cross country all four years.  While she was a Flyer, she was a provisional national qualifier in the 1500m and All-Conference in cross country.  She earned her BA  from Lewis U in mathematics and her MA from Lewis U in C/I.         
          Currently, Coach Schoenfeld teaches math at Reavis.  She also coaches Cross Country.  She married in 2006 to her husband Kevin, and enjoys every precious moment she has with her daughter Kaylee who is almost 10 years old.

#44 Ryan Flood
Assistant Coach

This is Flood's seventh season with the Rams.  A 2001 graduate of Reavis, Flood played football, basketball, and baseball for the Rams.  He had a great high school baseball career that included two conference championships and all-conference honors in 2001.  The Burbank native then attended Benedictine University in Lisle, where he majored in math–education and lettered in baseball for four years.  Flood also holds a Master's degree from Olivet Nazarene University.  After graduation, Ryan taught math at Oak Lawn for two years.  In 2008, Flood came back to his alma mater, where he currently teaches math.
   
Ryan is married to Juliann (Larson) and has a daughter Alaina.

Colleen Glynn
Assistant Coach

Coach Colleen Glynn is our jumps specialist. 
     Coach Glynn attended Mt. Assisi Academy in Lemont, where she competed on the varsity Track and Field team for 4 years.  Coach Glynn competed in the Long Jump, Triple Jump, 4 x 100m Relay, and the Sprint Medley Relay. She began coaching long and triple jump at Sycamore High School in Sycamore, IL in 2003 while attending Northern Illinois University in DeKalb. In her short time at Sycamore High School, she coached a female athlete to the IHSA State competition where she earned 6th place in the state of Illinois for Triple Jump.  
     Coach Glynn began coaching for Reavis High School and has been the jumps/hurdles coach.  She currently works with both girls and boys with long jump, triple jump, and high jump, as well as with the hurdlers. She has had many athletes at Reavis who have placed in conference with a few who have placed at sectionals and qualified for IHSA State meet, including Kelley Gryzch ('13) in the high jump, Paulina Gal ('13, '14) in the 300m hurdles, and Auset Kheru ('17) in the high jump. Coach Glynn is looking forward to her 17th season.

Laurie Schoenfeld
Head Coach

     Coach Laurie Schoenfeld has been involved in the cross country program for 22 years..  Her responsibility has been to coach the girls.  Coach Schoenfeld has had the honor of coaching one Varsity Cross Country team Championship, along with MANY All-Conference and  and All-Regionals athletes in the seasons she has coached.  She also takes pride in knowing that many of her former student-athletes go on and run in college.  The 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 teams were awarded the Sportsmanship Award also. 
     Coach Schoenfeld teaches math at Reavis.  She went to Joliet West H.S. where she was All-State in the 800m run and was on the state bound cross country teams for 2 years.  Coach Schoenfeld ran at Lewis University, and was All-Conference in cross country and was a provisional national qualifier in the 1500m run.  She earned her BA and MA from Lewis U.
     Coach Schoenfeld married her husband Kevin in 2006, and loves to spend every free moment with her 9 year old daughter Kaylee.

This is Jen's second year as assistant coach but she is no stranger to the coaching field.  She has coached at Reavis for 19 years in softball, 14 years in basketball, 7 years in volleyball and is also in her second year as assistant bowling coach.  She also had previous coaching experience at Hillcrest High School for two years coaching volleyball, basketball, and softball.  She received a one year full ride scholarship to UIC for basketball and softball.  She also received a four year full ride scholarship to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale for softball.  Jen was also invited to try-out for the Olympic Softball Team in the late 80s.

Kyle McKinley
Assistant Coach

Kyle, a 2010 graduate of Reavis, will be helping out with the varsity squad this season.  While at Reavis, Kyle played three sports all four years and earned six varsity letters in football, wrestling, and baseball.  On the diamond, McKinley started at first base as a senior and was named both Mr. Hustle Award winner and Robert Regalado Scholarship recipient.  Kyle graduated from Lewis University in 2014 and has been teaching Special Education and coaching baseball and soccer at Reavis for the past four years. 

Kyle is engaged to Valerie Pater and they have a dog named Wilson.

Coach McDonough was an All-State wrestler in high school for Mt. Carmel.  He is a veteran coach, who has over two decades of coaching experience.  Coach McDonough has coached wrestling at Reavis for many years and we are excited to have him leading our freshmen team.  His work ethic and passion for the sport of wrestling will be a great assest to the program.

Matt Cusik

Matt Cusick wrestled at Sandburg High School where he was a 3X state placer and 2X undefeated State Champion.  Matt was also part of three team State Championships in his high school career.  Matt attended Virginia Tech. on a wrestling scholarship.  Matt's energy and vast knowledge of the sport of wrestling are extremley valuable to the Reavis Wrestling program.  Matt will be working with the varsity wrestling team again this year.

This is Coach Juracka's first year as Head Boys Coach. He has been the assistant for the last 5 years until taking over this past summer. Coach Juracka looks to build on a strong freshman class and his solid varsity veterans. "The goal has been and always will be to win a Conference Championship; we will get there with a strong summer running commitment, dedication to the team, & a love for the sport of running!"

Tony Pape
Assistant Coach

Coach Pape is entering his 7th school year at Reavis H.S..  He has proven to be a great asset to our wrestling program.  In addition to coaching wrestling, Tony is also a varsity football coach.  His dedication to the student-athletes of RHS is truly amazing.  Coach Pape was an all-state football player and wrestler at Hinsdale South H.S.  After high school Coach Pape attended the University of Michigan, where he was an All-American football player; from there he went on to play four years in the NFL.

This is Coach Juracka's second year at Reavis High School & his first year as Assistant Track Coach. He is also the Head Boys Cross Country Coach in the Fall. In Coach Juracka's 4 years as an educator he has also coached Football, Girls Soccer and Boys Basketball. He graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in 2005 and recieved his Masters in Kinesiology & Sports Studies in 2011 to add to his Bachelors in Physical Education & Health from Eastern Illinois University.

~~Tim Zasada takes over as the Head Girls Basketball Coach of the Reavis Rams. Tim has compiled a career record of 162 and 46 at T.F. North including 4 Regional Championships, two sweet sixteen appearances, and two Conference Championships.  Coach Zasada is also the Head football coach at Reavis and serves as a Guidance Counselor for the school.  Coach Zasada is a graduate of Hammond High School where he went on to play football at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo. Coach Zasada is married to Nancy who is also a teacher at Prairie View Junior High in Tinley Park.  They have two children Zoe and Parker.

Adam Zawada

~~Coach Zawada has been the Sophomore Coach since the 2013 season. Before coaching at Reavis, Adam coached basketball at TF North High School. Adam was hired by Reavis at the start of the 2012-2013 school year and teaches in the History Department.
