Bridgeview, IL (April 12, 2011) - The Varsity Girls Soccer Team (8-1, 5-0) beat Argo Tuesday 2-1 at Toyota Park in a physical game to take sole possession of 1st place in the SSC Red Conference. After giving up a goal halfway through the first half the Rams regrouped and controlled the remainder of the game. Reavis answered back with an equalizing goal from Chanel Koepke in the 26th minute off of a great cross from Gosia Skora. The Rams came right back out after halftime to score in the 45th minute off of a beautiful ball by Ana Valdez off of a direct kick just outside the box. Reavis continued the pressure for the rest of the game not allowing Argo to gather any momentum. The midfield possessed and switched the field impressively while the defense tightened down on the scoring threat of Argo allowing only 6 shots on goal for the game. Scoring for the Rams was Chanel Koepke with 1 goal (10 goals, 5 assists on the season), Ana Valdez with 1 goal (13 goals, 3 assists on the season), and Gosia Skora with an assist (1 goal, 2 assists on the season).
