Softball Program Welcomes New Coaches

Coach Tabor, an &;02 Reavis grad, will be coaching softball for the first time, but has been active in the baseball program for the last few years and is the current boys sophomore basketball coach. Head Softball Coach Jim Meskill had this to say about Tabor: "He (Tabor) should be a real asset for the program. His experience as a baseball coach should come in handy. I&;m looking forward to having him with us." Tabor has been working at Reavis for the last few years filling various educational roles.

Coach Manning, also coaching softball for the first time, has been a Reavis Wrestling assistant for several years. Meskill, when asked about Manning&;s lack of softball experience, stated, "Charlie (Manning) will bring intensity, competitiveness, and a strong work ethic to our program. Hiring him was more about character than experience. Some people just don&;t understand how valuable those qualities are in a coach. We are lucky to have him." Manning teaches PE here at Reavis and is in his 4th year.

The Softball season starts on February 28, and the first game is scheduled for March 15.
