(May 16, 2016)- The Freshman Rams beat SSC Red-leading Oak Lawn 14-10. Monday at home defending their field. Villagomez pitched a complete game in the BIG WIN to shut down the Spartan offense. Line drives for triples were hit by Cramer, Kwitkowski, Vilagomez. Bunts were place by Tafolla and bases were stolen by all. On the defensive side of the ball the RAMS were led by Tatar with an unbelievable catch in the outfield. Contributions were also made by Clancy, Macias and Rueda. Next, when the dirt settled, Garza tagged two girls at home in an effort to defend the plate and hold the lead. Pryor set the tone to start the game and Kasperwicz worked the pitcher to get on base. Coach Z was quoted as saying, “We had to overcome some adversity today and the team played a great game against a very good Spartan team that was aggressive and well coached, our team wanted to upset a team this year.” The Freshman Rams will close out the season today against Argo.
