Girls' Basketball Squad Captures Conference Crown

Burbank, IL (February 11, 2015) - Congratulations to Head Coach Tim Zasada & the Varsity girls’ basketball team for winning the SSC Red Conference Championship! The conference championship is the first for the girls’ program since 1996.  The team finished the regular season with a 24-4 record, which is the best in school history. 
 
IHSA Regional play starts on Tuesday, February 17, against Proviso West at St. Ignatius High School.  The game starts at 7:30.
 

Records Are Made To Be Broken

Burbank, IL (January 29, 2015) -The women's basketball program made history last night, breaking the best record ever set in the ’80’ -81’ season. The girls won their 22nd game this season against Argo bringing the team to 22-3 overall and (9-0) in conference. Kelly LoRusso had 16 pts/6 rebounds/ 6 steals and Natalie Dudek had 14 pts/8 rebounds/3 steals. Katelyn LoRusso had 11pts, Ashley Galason had 9pts/3steals, Ewelina Kmin had 8pts/5 rebounds, and Alyssa Baffin had 6 pts/3 steals.

Reavis Continues Domination!

Oak Lawn, IL (January 20, 2015) Congrats to the Womens’ basketball program for defeating Richards on all three levels for a program sweep!!!  Varsity moves to 18-2, 7-0 in conference with this huge road victory. . It was a team effort. Ashley Galason and Natalie Dudek had 13 pts. each and the shooting from the perimeter by Ewelina Kmin (12 pts./ 5 assists/ 4 3pt shots), Katelyn LoRusso (11pts/3 3pt shots), and Alyssa Baffin (9pts, 3 3pt shots) made the Rams unstoppable.  The bench mob sealed the game and the road victory.

Rams Upset the Rebels In Showdown

Lansing IL, ( December 19, 2014) - The varsity girls basketball team defeated T.F. South last night in a physically demanding and fast paced game. The RAMS sealed the game and earned a 58-43 win with scoring leaders Katelyn LoRusso (17 points) and Ashley Galason (15 points) leading the way. This conference win brings the girls to 11-1 and 40 in conference. They will be back on the court at Riverside Brookfield on Monday to take on St. Ignatius for a rematch at 3:30pm.

Battle of Burbank!

~~Burbank (December 16, 2014)- Congrats to the varsity basketball team who dominated the Battle of Burbank vs. Queen of Peace on Monday with a score of 66-43. Leading scorers included Alyssa Baffin with 12 pts/4 rebs/ 5 steals, Ashley Galason with 13 pts/8 rebs, and Natalie Dudek with 24 pts/6 rebs. Also an excellent defensive effort by Ewelina Kmin helped to move the Rams to 10-1
Next game is at T.F. South on Thursday night.

Braves Sent Packing

~The Varsity Girls Basketball team defeated Bremen last night 70- 43 moving them to a 9-1 record (3-0 conference). High scorers were Natalie Dudek with 25 points, Alyssa Baffin with
15 points including 4 3pt. shots, and Ewelina Kmin with 10 points and 2  3pt. shots made. The next varsity game will be held at Queen of Peace on Monday. It is only a short walk and we would love to
get your support!

Streak Snapped!!

Country Club Hills, IL ( December 9, 2014) -The Womens Varsity Basketball Team has ended Hillcrest’s record 125 game, home conference winning streak! The girls beat Hillcrest 67-51  in a well fought battle. Natalie Dudek and Katelyn LoRusso were the top scorers with help from Ewelina Kmin, Ashley Galason, and Kelly LoRusso. Congrats to the girls and good luck to them tomorrow when they play Bremen at home. Hope to see you there!
