The Freshmen Rams slaughtered the Shepard Astros 19-9 on Monday night in a truly satisfying victory. Reavis took a tough blow three weeks ago after a disappointing loss to the Astros, which made Monday's victory all the more gratifying. The Rams finished the game with rallies in nearly every inning and a dugout full of cheers and relentless energy. The Rams sent the Astros deep into space. Arguably the Freshmen Rams' best game to date, beating Shepard is a great way to lead off the last week of the season.
Rams Win Battle of Harlem!
(April 24, 2017) - Summit, IL
The Freshmen Rams shut-out Argo 16-0 on Monday at the Argonauts' home field. Led by pitchers Alyssa Mestas, Natalie Swierczynski, and Haley Garza, the Rams dominated early in the game and never let up. "It was a jolly good time playing the Argonauts," stated Swierczynski. The Freshmen Rams are looking to compete again Tuesday against the Spartans at Oak Lawn.
Rams beat Mother McAuley
(April 20, 2017) - Burbank, IL
The Freshmen Rams challenged Mother McAuley to a battle of the South Suburbs. After the first inning, the Rams were in the lead 2-0. It was a tight game until R. Blake hit a two run bomb that put the Rams in front for good. N. Swierczynski pitched a complete game with 6 Ks. The Freshmen Rams will be back in action on Monday in the “Battle of Harlem” against Argo.
Home Opener Win!!
(March 29, 2017)- The Freshman Rams beat conference rival Richards in a 7 inning game by a score of 6-5. The Rams were down early but dug deep together as a team and persevered to a huge win. It was a total team win; the game did not lack offense or defense. The bench had an impact as well as the sellout crowd. Congrats on your 1st of many high school softball wins.
2017 Softball Season Begins!
Tryouts for the 2017 Reavis Rams Softball season will be held starting Monday, February 27th. All girls will meet in the North Gym at 3:15pm and be prepared for both indoor (sweats, shirt, gym shoes) and outdoor (sweats, sweatshirts, jacket, spikes, etc.) practice. Each girl will need her own mitt.
Please be advised...any girl wishing to tryout will need a physical on file in the athletic office.
Freahman, Sophomore and Varsity teams will be announced by Thursday, March 2nd.
RAMS BEAT HINSDALE CENTRAL, ADVANCE TO REGIONAL FINAL
(May 25, 2016)- The Rams beat Hinsdale Central 3-0 in five innings (weather), in the Reavis Regional Semifinal Wednesday. On the mound, Alyssa Baffin fired 5 shoutout innings while striking out 4 and allowing only 2 hits. Offensively, the Rams (11-22) were led by Donna Booe (3-3), Natalie Dudek (2-3, RBI, R), and Ewelina Zahora (1-2, 2 RBI). The Rams will face Sandburg in the Regional Final Saturday at 11:00AM at Reavis.
SOFTBALL RAMS BEAT CONFERENCE LEADER
(May 16, 2016)- The Varsity Rams beat SSC Red-leading Oak Lawn 3-1 Monday on the Road. Alyssa Baffin fired a complete game, earning the win. Baffin struck out five while allowing only one run and five hits. Offensively, Donna Booe (1-2, R, RBI) and Natalie Dudek (1-3, triple, R) led the Rams (10-20, 5-12). Michelle Blake and Ewelina Zahora also had RBI singles to help seal the win.
