The Boys Track Team competed for the first time on our new, state-of-the-art track complex and came away with convincing victories on both levels. The Varsity team defeated Evergreen Park and Bremen 116-38.5 and 116-20.5 respectively. The F/S team came away victorious 70-46 and 70-50. Great job athletes!
Varsity Boys defeat Shepard and TF South at the Tinley Park quad meet Tuesday night.
JIm Rapasz and Tom Esparza take 1st and 2nd place in the shot put at the TF North Quad on 4/5. Rapasz also took 1st in the discus with a throw of 127' 2.5" Matt Beach took 1st on the F/S level with a throw of 121' 11"
Calvin Jordan had a fantastic night at the Argo Indoor Conference Meet taking 1st place in the 55M, 200M and the Triple Jump. The 2014 state qualifier also took 2nd place in the Long Jump. Team mates Vincent Vertucci and John Behling also contributed for the Rams in the Shot Put and 1600M respectively.
BLUE ISLAND (May 15, 2014): The Reavis Boys Track & Field team traveled to Eisenhower High School Thursday night to compete in the SSC Red meet. The Freshman and Sophomore team finished 4th overall as the Varsity squad finished in an improved 6th place this year. The highlights of the night were from Captain's Robert Centeno & Calvin Jordan. Jordan took 1st place in conference in the long jump and 2nd place in the tripple jump. Centeno a week ago, broke the Reavis High School record for the 400M Dash...at Thursday's conference meet he added first place in conference.
Burbank, IL (May 1st, 2014) Reavis was host to the 52nd Reavis Relays this past Thursday in which both Boys and Girls teams finished in 3rd place, a personal best this season for the Boys team. The boiys team prepares for conference next week with two meets this week including the Richards invite Thursday. Come out and support your ram runners!
Chicago, IL (April 25, 2014) This past Friday the Rams traveled to Brother Rice for their Annual All Relay Invite. With many powerhouse teams in attendance including Brother Rice, Marmion, Marist and St. Rita, the Rams were able to snag the 8th place spot beating out 4 other teams including conference foe Evergreen Park. However the highlight of the night was the Beggars Pizza Big Man 4 X 100 Relay. The Ram throwers came up huge! (No pun intended). They dominated the track in route to a 1st place victory in which the 1st place medal was replaced with a deep dish pizza!
Summit, IL (April 12, 2014) The Boys Track & Field team traveled to Argo High School this past Saturday for the annual Argo Outdoor Varsity Invite. The Invite consisted of 11 very competitve schools, including a strong Rich South team as well as last years 4th place in state St. Ignatius. The boys were able to grab the 6th place slot, a boost from last year when they finished 10th. Sophomore, Andres Dominguez lead the way for the Rams with finishing 3rd in the hurdles, shattering his personal record by more than 10 seconds.
