February 10th, is our starting day. Coach Schoenfeld is looking forward to a great 2020 season full of surprises and excitement. I little preview of what is anticipated... Team goals: I expect some great performances at our Invites. The success has been building up, I think we are ready to really shine as a WHOLE team. We finished 4th at the varsity level and 2nd at the frosh/sooh level...I anticipate a top 2 finish at conference at the varsity level. I think we can have double the All Conference athletes as last year.
May 8, 2019. Congrats to Karolina Stachon as she jumped to a first place finish in the high jump and 1st place in the long jump, qualifying her for the IHSA State meet at EIU. Congrats to Jersey Panock finished 1st in the shot put and 2nd in the discus, qualifying her also for the state meet in both events. Congrats to Jersey Panock who finished 2nd in the discus, qualifying her for the state meet also. Freshman Michele Gal finished 4th in the 800m. The team finished 5th overall out of 14 teams at the Sectional meet. Great season all and good luck at EIU.
May 2, 2019. Shepard hosted this season's Conference meet where the Rams finished 4th at the Varsity level and 2nd at the Frosh/Soph level. Junior Madison Simpson won the shot put earning her All-Conference honors and Junior Karolina Stachon won the high jump earning her All-Conference honors. We had tons of scorers in the competition. Trine Gomez finished 3rd in the 100m hurdles, Johnna Baniewicz finished 3rd in the 1600m, Michele Gal finished 2nd in the 300m hurdles and 3rd in the 800m, Jersey Panock finished 2nd in the discus, and Karolina Stachon finished 2nd in the triple jump.
April 25, 2019. The Rams displayed greatness at the Reavis Relays this season. The shot put relay of Jess Rueda, Jersey Panock, and Madison Simpson and the discus relay of Jenna Panock, Jersey Panock, and Madison Simpson both dominated and won. The distance medley team of Corrin Smith, Diana Castro, Ashley Rueda, and Jenn Ramirez finished 2nd place overall. The 3x1600m relay team of Michele Gal, Johnna Baniewicz, and Alyssa Carrillo finished 3rd. The 4x800m relay team of Michele Gal, Alyssa Carrillo, Ryhane Saadi, and Johnna Baniewicz finished 3rd overall as well. Great job Lady Rams.
April 23, 2019. Highlights of meet: Alyssa Carrillo finishing 2nd in her debut of the 3200m;Johnna Baniewicz finishing 1st in the 1600m and Alyssa Carrillo finishing 2nd in the 1600m; Keylin Vallejo finishing top 2 in the 100m and 200m; Michele Gal won the 300m hurdles; Karolina Stachon finishing 1st in the long jump and high jump and 2nd in the triple jump; Madison Simpson won the shot put and discus, while Jersey Panock finished 2nd in the discus and shot put.
April 19, 2019. WOW! The Girls Track and Field team finished 2nd place out of 7 teams at the Richards Invite. Top finishers were: Keylin Vallejo finished 2nd in the 200m, Diane Ramirez finished 2nd in the 400m, while Nadia Roberts finished 4th. Johnna Baniewicz finished 2nd in the 800m. Pam Sanchez finished 4th in the 3200m. Trine Gomez finished 3rd in the 100m hurdles. Ryhane Saadi finished 4th in the 300m hurdles. Madison Simpson finished 2nd in the shot put. Karolina Stachon finished 1st in the high jump, while Nadia Roberts finished 4th.
April 16, 2019. The Varsity and Fr/Soph teams dominated against Richards, Hill Crest, and TF North. Sandra Marquez, Trine Gomez, Erin Jones, Michele Gal, Luz Garcia, Nadia Roberts, Johnna Baniewicz, Madison Simpson, Jenna Panock, Jersey Panock, Karolina Stachon, and Diana Castro were all huge contributors at the Varsity level. Ryhane Saadi, Natalia Carrion, Keylin Vallejo, Ashley Rueda, Corrin Smith, and Anna Tumiel all did a great job for the Frosh/Soph team. Keep it up girls!
April 13th, 2019. The Rams have had a tough week with three meets this week, and they had another great showing at the Geneva Invite. Karolina Stachon (1st in the long jump, 2nd in the triple jump, 2nd in high jump and 4th in 400m), Michele Gal (3rd in 800m), Madison SImpson (3rd in shot put), Jersey Panock (2nd in discus), Jenna Panock (3rd in discus). Great job Rams.
April 11, 2019. The Rams finished an impressive 6th place at the Hill Crest Invite out of 14 teams. Johnna Baniewicz finished 5th in the 1600m. The 4x400m relay team of Keylin Vallejo, Johnna Baniewicz, Nadia Roberts, and Corrin Smith and the 4x800m relay team of Ryhane Saadi, Michele Gal, Corrin Smith, and Alyssa Carrillo both finished 4th. Nadia Roberts finished 1st in the high jump and 6th in the 400m. Jersey and Jenna Panock (the power twins) finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the discus. Karolina Stachon finished 4th in the long jump and 5th in the triple jump.
