Athletes of the Week for April 11th
Kevin Trujillo, Senior
Kevin fought through an early race collision and resulting injury to run a personal best split later in the meet in the 4x400. Kevin is a truly gutsy competitor.
Hector Gonzalez, Senior
Has been a warrior all season. He has fought with shin pain every day, every event, yet keeps working harder and harder to compete with his teammates. He represents the fighting spirit that we hope to instill in all our athletes.
Mike Belbis, Senior
Ran personal bests for the 3rd time in this young season at the Argo Invite. Mike's hard work and dedication as a captain this year has proven invaluable to the team.
Pedro Santos
The junior thrower is putting all the pieces together with the help of Coach Kreil. His improved by over 10 feet in the discus, reaching 118 feet plus, and improved in the shot put as well. Pedro's size and raw talent, combined with hard work, will make him a real threat at the conference meet in May.
Athletes of the Week for April 4th
Simon Rapacz
the epitome of toughness. Took a tough fall, got up, and nearly beat his closest competitor at the last hurdle.
Khalid Smith - placed 3rd in the long jump and 4th in the hurdles at the Andrew Invite.
Andres Rodriguez - finished 3rd among freshmen on Saturday at the Andew Invite.
Eyad Zeid and Mohammad Sbitan
ran the 2 mile and came back to run the 4x800 in the very next race.
Dan Dyszkiewicz
stepped in as our 2nd leg in a flawless 4x100, then recovered from a mistake in the 4x200 to finish strong

Eder Magana
Set a personal best time in the 200 at the Argo Invite and has been a great mentor to our underclassmen.
Joe Pauletic
Set personal bestsĀ in all 3 jumping events and was the lead leg in the 4 lap relay that finished 3rd.
Jose Castellano
Also set a personal best at the Argo Invite in the shot put. His leadership has been invaluable so far this sesason.
