Underclassmen Win the Fitzgerald Invite

The Fitzgerald Invite is the longest running Sophomore Tournament in the State, and was held this past Saturday at Reavis High School. The Rams captured the tournament championship for the first time... in a long time! The Rams earned team points at nearly every weight class and it was a complete team effort. Individual champions were freshmen Kevin McDonald and sophomore Dan Herlihy. In addition, Kevin McDonald was named the tournament’s outstanding wrestler, recording three pins on the day. The Rams had a heard of runner ups who earned valuable team points all day. Sergio Lopez, Cody Dybalski, Mo Abunijmeh, Vince Vertucci, Alejandro Marmalejo, and Jacob Kacki all placed 2nd. Also placing for the Rams were, sophomores Drew Moscato 3rd and Franciso Maya 3rd, and freshmen Rene Sachez was the consolation champion. Great team effort and congratulations on a great day for the Reavis Wrestling Program!
