Soccer Boys Coaches
In his fourteen seasons as varsity coach, Morack's teams have won 15 games nine times and have compiled a record of 209-111-15 while winning The SSC Red Conference Championship (2013 & 2017) and five IHSA Regional Championships (2005, 2012, 2015, 2016, & 2017). Also the boys' varsity baseball assistant coach, Bob has won the Reavis Coach of the Year Award four times (2006, 2009, 2012, & 2016), Section 13 IHSSCA Soccer Person of the Year (2008, 2010, 2015, 2016, & 2017), IHSSCA Section 13 Coach of the Year (2009 & 2017) and SSC Coach of the year twice (2011 & 2017). After high school, Morack played collegiate baseball at Moraine Valley Community College and Chicago State University. He holds a Masters degree from St. Xavier University and currently is the Department Chair for PE and CTE.
Favorite Reavis Soccer Moment: "My favorite soccer moment was our team winning conference, 18 games and 3rd consecutive Regional Championship in 2017! I was so proud of how the kids came together and played with school pride, determination, & toughness to earn the Championship. This was a great group of kids that will never be forgotten at Reavis."
Bob has three daughters, Madelyn, Evelyn, and Jaclyn.
Coach Ward has been around Reavis soccer since 1997 and has coached Boys Freshmen, Sophomore, and Varsity teams. He headed the girls program from 1998-2008. Jim was awarded Reavis Coach of the Year in 2002 and IHSSCA Section 13 Assistant Coach of the Year in 2008. Jim earned his Bachelor’s of Science at Illinois State University holds Master degrees from Chicago State University, Lewis University and Olivet Nazarene University. He works as a Industrial TechnologyTeacher and Summer School Principal at Reavis High School. Favorite Reavis Soccer Moment: There are many to choose from. Ward has great rapport with players, parents, and staff and has been a tremendous asset to both the girls and boys soccer programs at Reavis! My favorite moments are when alumni come back and tell me they had fun and enjoyed being part of the Reavis soccer program. Outside of Reavis Coach Ward stays busy volunteering at St Linus, coaching and watching his children play sports.
Jim is married to Kathy and has 5 wonderful children Tessy, Missy, Maggie, Lizzie and Jimmy are always on the move to enjoy the next scheduled activity.
John started teaching at Crete – Monee High School in 1990. He coached basketball and football for two years. Then he started coaching and teaching at Reavis High School. John coached boys basketball and girls softball. He has been coaching boys soccer at Reavis since 2005. Larocca is currently the Sophomore Head Coach, in his seasons with the Rams he has won over 150 games and the programs conference championships in 2009, 2012, & 2104. John attended Homewood – Flossmoor High School and played basketball and soccer for all four years. He then proceeded to Illinois State University and got his degree in Mathematics. He received his master’s in education from Governors State University and Chicago State University.
John is married to Mary Kay (McEldowney) and has two daughters, Samantha and Madison.
Coach Basile has been teaching and coaching at Reavis since 2006 working with both the boys and girls programs. He attended Providence Catholic High School where he played soccer and wrestled. Afterwards, Coach Basile attended Saint Xavier University where he played on the men’s soccer team. While at SXU he earned his BA in Studio Art and then went on to earn his Master’s in Secondary Education. Outside of teaching and coaching he plays in a men’s soccer league, and is training for marathon running. Coach Basile’s favorite movie is Titanic and interests include painting and drawing, carpentry, working on cars, and cooking. His favorite memories as a player are winning super-sectionals at home his senior of high school to advance to state, and starting his first game as a freshman at Saint Xavier versus Wheaton College. As a coach, his favorite memories are beating De LaSalle to take 3rdplace in the girls Ram Invite in 2010, and winning the 32 team Windy City Ram Classic at Toyota Park during the 2010 boys season.
Coach Erickson started his soccer coaching career at Reavis in 2012 as the program's goalkeeper coach. Since coming into the program the Rams have won 2 Regional Championships (2012 & 2015) and the school's 1st ever Conference Championship (2013). Coach E is the Varsity Head Baseball Coach since 1993. In his tenure, the Reavis baseball program has garnered over 400 wins, six conference titles and one regional crown. Erickson is a three-time winner of the Reavis Coach of the Year Award (1997, 1998, 2008) and a two-time winner of the SICA Coach of the Year Award (2002 & 2005). After graduating from Glenbard North High School in 1987, Erickson attended Upper Iowa University where he received his BA in 1991 and was a three-year letter winner in baseball for the Peacocks. Erickson, who teaches American Literature at Reavis, also holds Masters degrees from National Louis University and University of St. Francis. In the fall of 2015 Coach Erickson was inducted into the IHSBCA Baseball Hall of Fame for all he has done for baseball in the community and throughout the state.
Don is married to Carrie (Preimesberger, Class of 1991) and has a daughter, Emma (13), and a son, Samuel (10).
Kyle, a 2010 graduate of Reavis, will be helping out with the sophomore squad this season. While at Reavis, Kyle played three sports all four years and earned six varsity letters in football, wrestling, and baseball.
