Burbank, IL (October 14, 2010) - The Rams' soccer team hosted Lemont Tuesday afternoon in their annual Parents' Night. In the final regular season home game, Reavis lost in double overtime 4-3.
The parents/family members of the soccer players were honored during half-time of the game. "We had a great turn-out today," said Coach Morack. "It's a nice day to thank our parents for the sacrifices they make throughout the season."
The Rams (15-7; 7-4) fell behind 3-0 early in the game, but battled back to tie the score with three unanswered goals. In the first overtime it looked at if Reavis won the game when Pawel Rychtarczyk scored a goal on an empty net. However, the referee called a hand ball and the goal was disallowed.
Rychtarczyk scored two more goals in the game to bring his season total to 50. The senior also moved into 7th place all-time on IHSA career goals list with 134. Teammate Luis Garcia is 15th on the career assist list with 71.
