The Reavis boys volleyball team defeated the Spartans of Oak Lawn High School on Thursday night, 25-17, 25-18 in Burbank. The win propelled the Rams to 8-0 in conference play and a 20-9-3 record overall. Strong serve receive, relentless defense, and a balanced attack gave the Rams an early advantage in set 1. Moises Zavala and Johnny Moczarny continued their impressive senior seasons by providing excellent ball control which led to efficient hitting. Five Rams had at least four kills and kept the Spartan block in check all night. Dan Szuba had a stand out performance by supplying 7 kills on 13 attempts.
The Rams continue next week against Shepard on Tuesday evening in Palos.
