Higgins, Mangiapane Pace Rams Win

Burbank, IL (May 13, 2011) - Meghan Higgins and Kayla Mangiapane provided most of the runs while Higgins (6-4) also pitched a shutout to pace the Rams (17-8) over visiting Bloom, 12-0.  Higgins knocked in two runs on offense and held the Blazing Trojans to one hit to set the tone for the Rams. Mangiapane drove in five runs on two doubles to lead Reavis in the non-conference affair.

Rams Nip Conference Foe Shepard

Burbank, IL (May, 2, 2011) - The Rams got a big hit at the right moment and used good pitching and solid defense to secure a victory over the visiting Astros from Shepard.  The win brought Reavis&;s record to 12-2 in the South Suburban Red (14-6 overall). The Rams hit the ball well all day, but could not get the clutch hit needed to pull away from the pesky Astros.

Solid Defense Leads Rams to Victory

Burbank, IL (April 5, 2011)- On a windy day in Burbank, the Rams stepped up their defensive efforts and used a six-run second inning to earn a conference victory of rival Argo, 8-3. Reavis turned in several stellar defensive plays to keep the Argonauts at bay including a dandy 6-4-3 double play turned by Sam Saunders, Kayla Mangiapane, and Sam Mangiapane to stifle an Argo rally.

#2 Oak Forest Downs Rams in Pitcher's Duel

Burbank, IL (March, 31, 2011)- All-State Oak Forest pitcher Emily Norton outdueled  All-State Reavis pitcher Caitlyn Balandis Thursday, 3-0.  Balandis (5-2) pitched an incredible game, recording 10 strikeouts while only walking one, but Norton proved to be too much for the Rams offense to handle. Amanda Raschke had the Rams lone hit on a bunt single in the sixth, and Balandis walked twice as the only other Ram to reach base. "They (Oak Forest) had a clear game plan and executed it perfectly.

Clutch Hitting, Pitching Lead Rams Over Lemont

Lemont, IL (March 29, 2011) - A couple of clutch hits and a dominating pitching performance by the Rams led the way to victory over Lemont, 2-0.  Sarah Saunders came through with a two-out RBI single in the top of the first inning, driving in Ally Balandis (walk) to give the Rams an early 1-0 lead. As it turned out, that run would be all Reavis would need as Caitlyn Balandis continued her masterful pitching performances by punching out 13 Indians and only allowed a lone hit in the fifth inning.

Rams Use 5-Run 1st to Pace Victory

Tinley Park, IL- (3/28/11)- Reavis plated five runs in the top of the first inning at Tinley Park on Monday on their way to a 9-0 conference win over the Titans.  The Rams took advantage of 3 walks and an illegal pitch by the Tinley pitcher to score the first run, resulting in the pitcher being removed. They welcomed the new pitcher by knocking in four more befroe the inning was over. The Rams added one more in the second inning, and three in the seventh to complete the scoring.
