Blue Island, IL (April 1, 2014). The Rams had a successful start of their outdoor season. We battled the elements and beat out Lemont, Eisenhower, and Tinley Park last Tuesday in our first Quad meet. Paulina Gal won all four of her events (shot put, discus, 800m, and 300m hurdles). The 4x800m relay team of Sabina Bukowska, Susu Almousa, Jenny Vasquez, and Paulina Marusarz also won. Sylvia Kozielski placed 2nd in the 100m dash, 2nd in the long jump, and 2nd in the triple jump. Pauina Marusarz placed 2nd in the 800m. Alex Malmborg placed 3rd in the 400m. Sabina Bukowska placed 2nd in the 1600m. Stephanie Majewski placed 3rd in the 3200m. Mackenzie Mellenthing placed 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot put. For the Frosh/Soph team, Adriana Prichina won the 3200m, Tara Rojas won the 300m hurdles, Yazmin Urteaga-Rios won the 800m, Kate Mendoza won the triple jump and the long jump, Alex Kamienski won the shot put and the discus, and Ariana Lozano won the 1600m. The 4x800m relay team of Monica Gutierrez, Jennah Carlson, Ariana Lozano, and Kayla Ayala also won.
