Oak Lawn, IL (April 8, 2014). The Varsity girls are now 6-0 after Tuesday’s meet at Richards with TFN and Eisenhower. Sylvia Kozielski had a big day, finishing 1st in the 100m, 2nd in the long jump, and 2nd in the triple jump. The 3200m run was dominated by a 1st – 4th finish from Stephanie Majewski, Laura Monsreal, Sabina Bukowska, and Yoyo Olivares. The discus was dominated by a 1st – 3rd finish from Mackenzie Mellenthin, Paulina Gal, and Julie Iazzetto. The 1600m was dominated by a 1st – 3rd finish from Sabina Bukowska, Stephanie Majewski, and Laura Monsreal. Amanda Kass finished 3rd in the 100m hurdles. Paulina Marusarz and Jenny Vasquez finished 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 800m. Paulina Gal finished 1st in the shot put and 2nd in the 300m hurdles. Mackenzie Mellenthin finished 3rd in the shot put. Great team effort! The frosh soph team were led by great success from Christine Trovato, Adriana Prichina, Kathy Juchas, Olivia Olivo, Ariana Lozano, Brianna Jones, Nicole Bochenski, Aleksandra Kamienska, Yazmin Urteaga-Rios, and Kate Mendoza.
