And They're Off--First Outdoor Meet for Girls Track and Field

Oak Forst, IL  (March 31, 2015).  The girls track and field team started off their outdoor season with two wins against Eisenhower and Oak Forest, but a loss to Lemont.  Aleks Kaminska won the shot put, while Auset Kheru won the discus.  Other scorers in the meet were Sylvia Kozielski (2nd in the triple jump and 3rd in the long jump), Alex Malmborg (3rd in the triple jump), Julie Iazzetto (3rd in the discus), Tara Rojas (2nd in the 100m hurdles and in the 300m hurdles), Nicole Bochenski (3rd in the 100m hurdles and in the 300m hurdles), Jenny Vasquez (2nd in the 800m), Kayla Ayala (3rd in the 800m).  The 4x100m relay team, 4x200m relay team, and the 4x400m relay team all got 2nd place respectively.  Also, great job to Cici Galvan as she hung in there in the 4x200m relay, as she got ran over at the start, but did not stop to keep the team in it for the race.  At the Frosh/Soph level, the Rams were the overall winners out of Lemont, Eisenhower, and Oak Forest.  Top performers were Aneta Stoch, Ali Malmborg, Aneta Gal, Yazmin Rios-Urteaga, Jenna Rapp, Selena Negron, Christine Trovato, Angelica Ortiz, Lupe Diaz, and Karolina Styrczula.
