Berwyn, IL (March 10, 2012). The girls track and field team started off their season at the Morton West Invite Saturday. The highlight for the Varsity Rams was sophomore Stephanie Verduzco, as she threw 34-7 in the shot put while finishing 1st place! The 4x800m relay team of Hannah Howard, Maggie Wojtowicz, Sabina Bukowska, and Michele Lewellen finished 4th place. Paulina Gal finished 5th in the 300m and Kelley Grzych finished 5th in the high jump. For the Junior Varsity squad, Mackenzie Mellenthin finished 3rd in the shot put, Yesenia Del Real finished 5th in the 3200m, Michele Lewellen finished 3rd in the 800m, and Sabina Bukowska finished 5th in the 800m. The 4x400 relay team of Cori McVeagh, Hannah Howard, Sabina Bukowska, and Sam Krawczyk finished 4th and the 4x160 relay team of Jessica Alexander, Amanda Kass, Cassie Cordova, and Ashley Simmons finished 5th.
