Girls Track ALL-CONFERENCE athletes

Burbank, IL (May 2, 2012).  All-Conference athletes were determined Tuesday at Oak Lawn High School where the SSC Red Division Conference track and field meet.  Any athlete in the Varsity race that finished first, will be All-Conference.  The 4x800m relay team started off the evening with a first place victory with a time of 10:35.52.  The team consisted of senior Hannah Howard, sophomore Sabina Bukowska, senior Sam Wolfe, and sophomore Michele Lewellen.  This time for the 4x800m relay broke the SSC Red Conference record which was held by Argo from 2009.  Pretty cool.  Sophomore Stephanie Verduzco rose to the occasion and finished first place in the shot put with a distance of 33&; 9.5".  Then Stephanie followed that up with a first place in the discus with a toss of 106&; 6".  Senior Hannah Howard fought off a battling runner from Argo, and finished first place in the 800m with a time of 2:34.4.  Reavis High School is very proud of the All-Conference athletes.  "The weather was terrible Tuesday night, but that did not stop the determination of these five ladies," commented Coach Schoenfeld.  "We have not had this many All-Conference athletes in all of my 19 years of coaching track at Reavis.  And the 4x800m relay team breaking the record--I could not be more happy for them!"
