Orland Hills, IL (April 6, 2013). The Girls Track and Field team had a great showing at the Andrew Invite this past Saturday. The Varsity team finished 5th out of 11 teams, and the Frosh/Soph team also finished 5th out of 11 teams. For the Varsity, Paulina Gal led the Rams, as she placed in all four events she competed in. Paulina finished 2nd in the 300m hurdles, 4th in the long jump, 3rd in the shot put, and 5th in the discus. Michele Lewellen finished 3rd in the 800m. Mackenzie Mellenthin finished 3rd in the discus. Kelley Grzych finished 2nd in the high jump and 4th in the 100m hurdles. Sabrina Laskowski finished 3rd in the high jump. For the Frosh/Soph, Sylvia Kozielski had a great showing, as she finished 1st in the long jump, 3rd in the triple jump, and 4th in the 100m dash. Julie Iazzetto finished 1st in the discus. Paulina Marusarz finished 5th in the 800m. Alex Malmborg finished 5th in the 400m and 5th in the 200m. Tara Rojas finished 5th in the 300m hurdles. The Frosh/Soph relay teams also did a great job competing.
