Girls Track and Field are 8-0 in Tuesday meets

Evergreen Park, IL  (April 22, 2014).  The girls once again on Tuesday beat out their competition and improved their Tuesday meet status to 8-0 at the Varsity level.  The girls are really working hard to prepare for their Conference meet and are looking just superb out there.  Paulina Gal recently broke her own 300m hurdles record, and followed that up with breaking the Reavis school record in the discus throw.  The original record was 125 feet 0 inches set by Yorkshat in 1973.  Paulina threw the discus 132 feet and 1 inch.  She SHATTERED that age old record.  She also won the shot put and the 400m, while finishing 2nd in the 200m.  In the 3200m run, Laura Monsreal finished 1st and Stephanie Majewski finished 2nd.  In the 100m hurdles, Amanda Kass finished 1st and Tara Rojas finished 2nd.  In the 300m hurdles, Tara Rojas finished 1st and Monica Gutierrez finished 2nd.  In the 1600m, Sabina Bukowska finished 1st.  Sylvia Kozielski finished 2nd in the 100m, triple jump, and long jump.  Mackenzie Mellenthing finished 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot put, while Julie Iazzetto finished 3rd in the discus.  The frosh soph team also beat out their competition, with Kathy Juchas, Olivia Olivo, Christine Trovato, Adriana Prichina, Ariana Lozano, Breana Jones, Paulina Marusarz, Jennah Carlson, Aleksandra Kamienska, and Yazmin Urteaga-Rios all performing well.
