Midlothian, IL (April 26, 2014). The girls again finished well as a team, as they finished 5th overall out of 13 teams at the Bremen Invite. Senior Paulina Gal was on fire Saturday! She won the discus with another personal best throw of 132 feet and 6 inches. Earlier this week she broke the Reavis school record in the discus, but with this personal best throw, she broke her own record. She then won the shot put, and followed that up with a personal best record time in the 800m where she finished first. She settled with second place in the 300m hurdles later on the meet. The 4x800m relay team of Sabina Bukowska, Jenny Vasquez, Yoyo Olivares, and Pauina Marusarz finished fourth place overall. Laura Monsreal finished fourth in the 3200m run, while Stephanie Majewski finished fifth in the 3200m run. Mackenzie Mellenthin finished a strong third place in the discus, while Aleksandra Kamienska finished an outstanding fourth in the shot put as a freshman.
