Burbank, IL (April 29, 2014). The girls finished off their regular season with 3 more victories. They finish 11-0 for the year. It was a total team effort. Senior Paulina Gal had another great meet, with first places in the shot put, discus, and the 300m hurdles and second place in the long jump. Paulina continues to impress as she again shook the Reavis record board, beating her own record with a time of :47.4. The 4x800m relay team of Sabina Bukowska, Yoyo Olivares, Jenny Vasquez, and Paulina Marusarz won, with a season best time. The 3200m run had a clean sweep as Laura Monsreal, Stephanie Majewski, and Weronica Staszel finished 1st-2nd-3rd respectively. Stephanie Majewski came back to finish 3rd in the 1600m. Sylvia Kozielski won the long jump and the triple jump. Mackenzie Mellenthin finished 2nd in the discus and 3rd in the shot put. Sabina Bukowska finished 2nd in the 1600m. Tara Rojas finished 3rd in the 300m hurdles. Alex Malmborg finished 3rd in the 400m. The 4x400m relay team of Jenny Vasquez, Sara Litland, Minerva Diaz, and Alex Malmborg also won. The frosh/soph team finished off their season with a 10-1 record. Christine Trovato, Kate Mendoza, Kathy Juchas, Olivia Olivo, Ariana Lozano, Joy Magana, Yazmin Urteaga, Aleks Kamienska, and Nicole Bochenski all had outstanding competition.
